Karen Luken has over 25 years of experience assisting local communities, national governments, and private businesses globally in reducing their reliance on landfills by utilizing waste as a resource to generate renewable energy and promote green economies. Her projects encompass designing recycling and organics programs, facilitating equitable public engagement, stakeholder collaboration, developing circular economy systems, strategic planning, assessing waste conversion technologies, providing support with financial and procurement processes, establishing public-private partnerships (PPPs), and optimizing program performance.
