Funding Your Solid Waste System, Through Good Times and Bad
Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 1:30 PM - 2:45 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Dave Yanke presents a SWANA Webinar that will describe the process a solid waste utility should undertake to identify the "total cost" (operating and capital costs) for operating its utility. The session will also address the importance of reserve funds for a solid waste utility, as well as policy issues they may wish to address as part of this analysis. Together these elements will assist in ensuring the financial integrity of the utility.
The audience will also have the opportunity to hear from Assistant Public Works Director Joe Giudice about the experience of the City of Phoenix with putting these recommendations into action.
